We have a number of teachers who come in to school to teach instruments and vocals - if you are interested you need to contact the email addresses / websites below, NOT the school.
Our piano and woodwind teacher Averil Rattenbury is offering 1:1 lessons at both the Secondary and Primary. Averil has a BA Hons Degree in Music and a PGCE in secondary Music education. She has been working in secondary schools as a classroom teacher and Head of Music for 14 years and then teaching peripatetic instrumental lessons in primary and secondary schools for the last 8 years. Averil teaches saxophone, flute and clarinet, as well as piano. Please email her on avesmusiclessons@outlook.com for more information.
Our singing teacher Chloe Hayter is now taking on new 1-to-1 singing students at the secondary site. She also runs Singing Club after school on Thursdays at secondary which is free and open to all! Chloe has extensive performance and vocal coaching experience having performed with artists such as Jamiroquai and Amy Winehouse’s band, and supporting artists such as Toploader, Alexander O’Neil and Aswad. Alongside this, Chloe also vocal coaches at The BRIT School in London.

Josh Magill, our in-house Drum teacher working through Kent Music, has space available for drum lessons from September. Josh has extensive touring and studio experience having toured America and Europe supporting such bands as The Strokes, Beck, Jake Bugg and YES. Additionally, there are sessions available through Rock On Academy - giving children the chance to explore music, build confidence, and develop valuable life skills. There’s something for everyone – beginners welcome. As with the other peripatetic teachers, lessons take place during the school day and are run by experienced, DBS-checked tutors.
Instruments can be provided if needed and affordable one-to-one options are available.
