We have an athlete coming to St George’s as part of the Sports for Champions UK Scheme. This is happening on Monday 2^nd October 2023.  On this ALL year 9 pupils should come to school in PE kit, and they will stay in their kit for the whole day – they do not need to get changed.

Our athlete is a Pro Basketball player called Chris Tawiah. He has played professionally in seven different European countries and won three British Championships with London Lions and Leicester Riders. Chris will be doing a presentation and Q & A with all of year 9 and then supporting pupils to undertake a short fitness circuit challenge. 

Students have been asked to bring in some sponsorship money from taking part in the fitness circuit to give to the RNLI.
