RE and Collective Worship - Sixth Form
A Church of England Sixth Form
Our five Christian values of compassion, forgiveness, friendship, hope and wisdom, underpin all that we do at the School. Throughout the curriculum and through worship pupils encounter and consider these values and the impact on their learning and lives.
At lunchtime, a member of the clergy is often available in The Heart, or one of the other lunchtime venues, on a rota throughout the term. Prayer is available for pupils, staff or families through the clergy.
Throughout the year, pupils will have a termly tabled RE lesson, which will focus on issues of Social Justice and Religion – building on resources from the AQA GCSE specification. These will reflect relevant issues in society and around the world and provide an opportunity for discussion, exploration of religious views and personal reflection. In addition, we aim to hold enrichment activities throughout the year to complement the RE provision for pupils in our Sixth Form, such as visiting speakers or other activities.
