Term 4 Week 1

VERSE

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. – Romans 12:12

Father God,

As we begin another term help us to have hope for the future. Help us to make the right decisions and to do our best in all that we do this term.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Father God,

We bring to you all those in our St George’s family who are sick. We ask that you bless them with healing and that they know your peace and comfort at this time.

In Jesus’ name, Amen

Father God,

Help us to remember our school’s values of Compassion, Friendship, Forgiveness, Hope & Wisdom. Help us to put these values into practice every day at school and at home.

Heavenly Father,

We pray for all those who serve in our military in the UK and abroad. We thank you for their service and pray your protection over them. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

PRAYER BY a Year 7 pupil

Dear Lord, I pray to thee to wrap your arms around us.

Keep us warm, keep us safe, let us be kind to every face. Teach us to be sharing, loving and caring – no matter how old, no matter how young. We ask that St George’s be united as one. Amen.

Term 4 Week 2

VERSE

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. – Jeremiah 29:11

Dear Lord,

May we act and be like St. David – in how he cared for other people in his daily life. May we also try and be more kind and caring.

We make this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Father God,

We thank you for our friends and families. We thank you for the love and support that they give us. Help us to appreciate them and to share the love they show us with others.

We pray for all those serving in emergency services. We thank you for their service and ask that you protect them as they protect others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your Kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Thank you God for the loving family and friends in my life.

They are special to me. I hope they stay with me always, to love, care and guide me.

Thank you God for our food and water.

Thank you God for the beautiful, unique animals that bring so much joy to life.

Thank you God for this lovely planet.

We pray that we will all take care of it.

We pray for your guiding hand on our leaders, locally, nationally and internationally to make wise decisions at this time. We pray that you will guide them through the days and weeks ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We thank you for all of the teaching assistants and pastoral support staff who work so tirelessly for students at St George’s. We pray you would bless them and give them encouragement in all that they do.

We pray you will be with all those who are unwell at this time. Renew their strength. Continue to guide our nurses, doctors and scientists to provide all the care they can. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for the New Life we see in spring.  Most of all Lord, We thank you for your Son, Jesus, Who suffered and died for us, on the cross and rose to life that first Easter Sunday to give us hope and new life. Bless us this Easter we pray.
